Kingdom Culture: Generous Like My Father

By Pastora Roselyn Lopez

Matthew 5:6 says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled.” The Greek word for hunger is ‘peinao,” which means having a strong desire for food. This is like when Jesus fasted for 40 days and wanted to eat after. The Greek word for theirs, on the other hand, is “dipsao,’ also having a strong desire for water. When Jesus was flogged and tortured and beaten before He was crucified, I am sure this is what he felt. And the Greek word for filled is “chartazo,” when you are so desperate for something that yo9u would do anything to get it. When you are so filled with the presence of the Lord, people around you would be be born again even if you have not done anything yet and the sick will be healed when you pass by.  People believe in God when you are around.

How generous is the love of God? When you encounter love, God will become love. He will become what you encounter. When you feel His love, you will become love. And when you experience the generous love of God, you will become generous. You can travel the globe and preach the gospel, but without a personal revelation of the Father’s heart, you are carrying second hand news; a story without a relationship.

Who wants to be run after by miracles and blessings? Everybody wants that. But what can you do to achieve it? Run after God. He is the source of everything. And if you have Jesus, you have everything. Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” So whether you like it or not, all these things shall be added unto you. But what if blessings and miracles do not run after you? It should be fine. Because it already feels like you won the jackpot if you are with God.

Revival is not just about signs and wonders and miracles. Revival is all about Jesus and going back to your first love and His original plan. You should be holding hands with God while you are walking. The ultimate intimate relationship should be restored.

The greatest miracle that you can every experience is the generous love of God. If you do, then it is finished. Your life will never be the same again.

Jesus came to restore what the enemy has stolen from you. What is it? Your identity as sons and daughters of the King. You are! John 3:1 says, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called a children of God and that is what we are.” Everybody can turn their back on you, but God never will.  He can turn a nobody into a somebody. Romans 5:8 says, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Can you imagine that? You have not done anything yet but He loved you anyway. The things that you deem impossible will become possible in Jesus’ name.

God knows how valuable you are and your value is great. But on earth, the value of a thing is always determined by the price you paid for it. Your phone can cost you a hundred grand. People will deem it valuable because you paid a very big price for it. But look at yourself. Do you know that heaven went bankrupt because of you? Jesus paid the price for all of your sins. You are very valuable. The blood of Christ was used to save you. The Darling of heaven came to earth because what is heaven if you are not there? If you believe in Jesus, you will be saved. But if you believe that Jesus believes in you, you will be transformed. You are the revival the world is waiting for. What are you waiting for? The love of God can change you. And your life will never be the same again. When you experience the generous love of God, it will be very difficult not to give in return.
