Before discussing what is new, be reminded that everything God did for you is called grace. You do not deserve it. You do not deserve salvation. The faith you have in Him is still not from you. It came from Him. He put it in your heart so that you can praise Him. It is all grace. Full grace is like car insurance. When you have a car, you can get a full coverage or liability insurance. If you get liability insurance, the insurance will only pay for the damage you inflicted on the other motorist. But if you get full coverage, the insurance company will pay for both damages. God’s grace is full coverage. If you make a mistake however which way, you still get the salvation that He offers. Jesus died for everybody. When Jesus was hanging on the cross, He knew that the people He was dying to save are going to go back to sin. But He did it anyway. It was the will of His Father.
Because of God’s love to mankind, He gave His only begotten Son. If you believe in Him, you have full coverage. Many things will change because God will change you.
You become one with Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” What a privilege man has when he believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. He becomes one with Christ. Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” When you accepted Jesus Christ, your spirit became alive and nothing can separate you from the love of God. Many rumors came out when the covid vaccine came out. They said it is of the devil. But back in the 90’s when the computers became popular, they also said it was of the devil. Take you stand. Nothing can separate you from God’s love once you are saved. Not the vaccine or anything else. John 10:30 also says, “I and the Father are one.” 1John 5:7-8 says, “For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.” The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one but each have their own identities. This is the doctrine of the Trinity. Genesis 2:24 also mentions, “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” This is one of the examples wherein two identities can become one. When you get married, you are your spouse have different identities but you are one. Matthew 19:4-5 says, “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?” Whatever God has put together, no man can separate. That is why you whose spirit has lived because of your faith in God cannot be separated from Him anymore. Because of God’s ultimate love for you, God united you with Him and nothing can separate the two of you. Hold onto that promise.
Your prayers are always heard. Because you are born again, saved, have a newborn spirit and are now one with God, all your prayers are answered. John 11:41-42 says, “So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” Jesus already knew that His prayer is answered before they even rolled away the stone. One privilege you received when you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is the fact that every time you pray to Him, He hears you. Be like Jesus. Claim your prayers even before they are answered. God knows your voice. In the Old Testament, they prayed like David did in Psalms 51:10-11. It said, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.” God already cleaned your heart once. It need not be cleaned again. In the Old Testament, the spirit sometimes gets lost. But in the New testament, it is always there. You are one with Christ. He is there with you wherever you are.
You inheritance is secured. Romans 8:16-17 says, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” No matter what happens to you in this world, you are an heir to God’s kingdom. In this long journey called life, you trip several times. Many time you go back to your favorite sins. But God said you are an heir to His kingdom. Your spirit will prove this. When he made your spirit alive, you have become a son of God. Your future is secure.
You become untouchable in Christ. Nobody can harm you. 1 John 5:18 says, “We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.” The devil has no more hold on you. Exodus 12:13 says, “We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.” When you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, His blood, that washed away all of your sins, sealed your fate. When Moses was trying to bring the Israelites away from Egypt, they had to splatter the blood of a lamb over their houses so that the angel of death will pass over them. Jesus is the Lamb of God who took away all the sins of the world. The sacrifice of animals may fail. It had to be perfect to be accepted. But it is still not sustainable to offer animals every single day. Sooner of later, the animals will run out. Man cannot offer the perfect sacrifice. That is why Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for you. All you had to do is believe in Him. And when you do, you become secure. The enemy cannot touch you anymore. You are sealed with His blood. Colossians 2:16 says, “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.” Do not believe in anything else. All you need is to believe in Jesus Christ. Religion will teach you everything that you do not need to do. God made you worthy; and that is why you do everything you can for Him - you serve, you tithe and you share the good news of His grace and salvation. You become untouchable. Psalms 91:7 says, ““no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.” The only thing that can make the enemy come near you is when you allow him to. 1 Corinthians 5:5 says, “hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.” Many people allow the enemy to get into their life and destroy it. But when they are hard headed, sometimes you need to give them up and let the enemy destroy that body. Matthew 16:22-23 says, “Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!” Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” Sometimes, the enemy can touch your soul. Be alert. Say no to the devil every time you make a decision. Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” You need to choose the side of God. You need to choose the right thing. The enemy can come and control you r mind. The enemy will put all the lies in your head. The spirit cannot be touched; it is sealed. 1 John 5:18 says, “We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.” The spirit cannot be touched anymore but if you allow the enemy to get into your head, your decisions or your will, you will go back to your sin. It was dead but your intentionally bring it back to life. You need to choose the right thing. Sometimes, your mind overpowers the spirit. The Bible says, “the spirit is willing but the body is weak.” The spirit needs to reign in your life. Your soul is useless if your spirit is dead.
Ephesians 4:30 says, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” You grieve the Holy Spirit when you dishonor the grace given by God. You do not deserve it. And you know it. You keep on going back to sin again and again. Do not entrust your body to the enemy. If you lose your salvation, it is your own fault. If you do not turn away from sin, it is nobody’s fault but yours. God will not take away your salvation. Only sin can turn you away from Him
