The Great Creation

By Pastor Peter Aguila

~~

We are all aware of the wonderful verses—in the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God; And the Lord said, let there be light. These are some of the wonderful verses of the book of Genesis.

In the beginning, there was only nothing but void. Darkness is everywhere, the earth was formless and empty until the spirit of God moves upon the face of the waters, then God said: Let there be light! Then there was light.

See, in life, we cannot appreciate the blessings of God if we did not experience darkness. It is similar to the Book of Genesis if we do not understand the beginning we will not understand and appreciate the great creation of God.

Let’s talk about the creations of God; His creations were all beautiful—even us who sinned are beautiful for we are His creation. We must know that even before we are born, He already knew our name, He already knew our life, He knows how many hairs we have in our heads, why? Because we are His great creation!

Let us praise for our Creator is our Lord God. He who is not selfish to bless us, He who loves us so much that He gave us His Son. Let us praise His grace and believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ who saved us all his creation from death.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[a]predestined us for adoption to sonship[b] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves” (Ephesians 1:3-6)

As His great creation, what is our purpose?

“7 In him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[c] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

11 In him, we were also chosen,[d] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,” (Ephesians 1:8-11)

As His creations, our sole purpose is to believe and glorify Jesus Christ, for in Him we were chosen, we are to fulfill God’s will.

If we will think about it, from the beginning, God’s plan and creations we all predestined according to the fulfillment of His will and God’s plans are all for our own good.
