The Blessed Life!

With unfortunate events going on around us, what does it mean to have a blessed life?

Let’s see what bible says on Genesis 1:28, 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

It says, God, blessed us, the mankind, His creation, and made us rule over His other creations. Be fruitful and increase in number He said. To have a blessed life is to receive and experience favor from God.

God blessed us so that despite the chaos happening around us we will seek in Him to prosper us, Jesus came not to steal or kill, He came to give us life and have it more in abundance!

If this is what God wants for us then why do we experience today the crisis of life? We can read from the Book of Genesis, from the great creation comes the great temptation. When mankind fell into the sin of disobedience, chaos and poverty of life came on us. God’s original design for us is to have a blessed and eternal life, but because of our sin, we are departed from Him and His blessing.

Our God is a generous God; He wants to bless us and we can repay Him by sharing these blessings to others and by giving back to enlarge His Kingdom here on earth. Giving back to the Father what He has given us is not a choice to make but a commandment we need to obey.

As Malachi 3:10 says, 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Blessings are given to us so we can give back His goodness. We found favor in God and hopefully as Christians, we repay Him through our obedience.
