Mothers are truly special. She is a master of many, a multitasker who can do so many things all at the same time. She works very hard during special occasions because she is a maker of memories. When things are not going your way and you feel like giving up, your mom can help you get your mind over whatever matter you are going through. She is a manager of managers, able to move around the house with such ease, as well as anywhere you put them. She is a mother on the move and a multiplier of money. Your children must obey mama. But there are times when they also have moments of madness, losing themselves for a while because of all the responsibilities they carry. But when conflict arises, they must remember to major on the major.
You are called moms. But where exactly did this come from? Genesis 1:26 says “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” That is man’s original design. God made you in His own image. Do you know how special that is? You have similarities with angels, but angels were not made in the image of God. Both worship and serve god. But only man was given the very special design of God’s image. Many think they are not worthy. But God made you beautiful and perfect in His own eyes. In fact, because you are an original design, you are made perfect just like Him.
What is the purpose of man? This can be seen in Genesis 2:15, which says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” He made you in His own image but He also gave you an assignment. This is to take care of ht earth that the Lord gave you. Adam was given authority to name everything in the Garden of Eden. But God was also the one who saw a dilemma. Genesis 2:18 says, “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” There was no woman then. That is why we go back to the original design. There is a purpose for the women. Moms are mothers on a mission. Genesis 2:21-23 says, says, “So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” God wanted to surprise man that is why He put him to sleep. God breathed into man’s nostrils but woman was fashioned from man. And the answer to man’s dilemma is women. That is God’’s solution.
Women are God’s solution to every man’s dilemma. You have a big assignment. Genesis 3:20 says, “Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.” The Hebrew word for Eve is “Hawwah,” which means ‘to breathe’ (chavah) and ‘to live or give life’ (chayah). Women are going to give and breathe life into so many things.
Women are going through an identity crisis nowadays, especially during this pandemic. But mothers are life givers. They can give birth. No man can. Women can give life not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. You can speak life to your children and your husband. Tell them of the good things God is doing in them and through them. Your children have dreams. Teach them to carry and birth these hopes and dreams. This is not easy. Most of the time, it is very difficult. But it surely is worth it.
Moms are the mouthpiece of the master that is why it is important that you are rooted in the word of God. You will speak the good news. You will speak life. Share life to the people around you. Moms are called the light of the household. Where there is light, there is life.
Women are helpers. John 16:7 says, “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.” Jesus is saying that it is better if He goes away, or else the comforter, the Holy Spirit, will not be able to work in you. Comforter means councilor, helper, advocate, intercessor, prayer warrior, strengthener. Women are like the representation of God in their homes. When you partner with the Holy Spirit, you can do all those things. You can help point them to Jesus. Many people say that for every powerful man, there is a strong woman behind him. Be that woman. Many women do not want to serve their husbands. They say they are not worthy of it. Their win is your win. Make sure your family wins. Do not let the enemy steal, kill and destroy your family. Serve your children. They are your treasure. Serve the people too. You are the hands and feet of Jesus. You are the helper and you are blessed.
When the enemy strikes, as mentioned in Genesis 3:1-3, “Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.” The day the women encountered the enemy, she was not wearing her armor. She did not ask the Lord first. She spent time listening to lies and later got tempted. Women’s perception has three forms: discernment, reason and emotion. Do not rely on your emotions. That is what happened when the serpent came. If emotions last too long, it is dangerous because it overrules your reason and thinking. Then you lose your discernment too. Now how do you know what is the truth from the lie? Go back to God’s word. There will come a time when the devil will speak to you. Are you ready? Abide in the Lord. Read and meditate on His word.
Use your weapons. The truth is found in the word of God. Do not allow your inheritance and the future of the next generations to be stolen from you again.
Moms are warriors. You are the prayer warriors in your homes. Ephesians 6:18 says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Stand in the gap for your husband, your children, and your community. Stand your ground.
Moms are worshippers who will teach their children at home, with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. Worship at all times, whether you are cooking, doing the laundry, and all of those mundane things that take up all of your time. When you worship all the time, no sickness can come near you because of the presence of God in your home. Make worship a lifestyle.
Moms are prophetic. You speak the word of God. Joel 2:28-29 says, ““And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” Be bold and fearless and speak the truth when needed. That is your role. God has called you for such a time as this. This is pandemic time. Declare your home a covid free zone everyday, in Jesus’ name. Imagine if everyone does that instead of getting fearful everyday. Stand in the gap and pray and watch God work His miracles.
Be bold. Be fearless. Be courageous because you are a woman. God has called you for that.
