Faith on Feed (Unmute your Faith, Share Jesus, Change a Life)

Does your social media profile reflect who Jesus is in your life? Can people tell that you are a Christian? Many Christians believe they should witness. There is a world wide web

1 Peter 3:15-17 says, “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong!” Are you worshipping Christ everyday? Or are you worshipping only on Sundays? If someone asks about your beliefs, can you defend it? Will you stand against the haters or bow down to them?

1 Your feed is a field. Social media is more than entertainment - it is an ecosystem filled with real people who need hope, truth, community, and Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:20 says, “So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!””

2 The Digital Witness. The question now is, why is our faith on silent mode? Acts 4:20 says, “We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.””

Why does our faith stay on silent mode?

1. Fear of rejection, misunderstanding, hypocrisy labels, and judgement or persecution. Proverbs 29:25 says, “Fear of man will prove to be a snare.” If you are afraid of people, you will not see the Lord’s signs, wonder and miracles because it requires faith. We need to be strong and stand for Jesus.

2. Feeling unqualified, being afraid of hard questions, and waiting until we know enough. 1 Peter 3:15 says, “Always be prepared to give an answer.” God is strong when you are weak. Allow yourself to be used by God in your weakness.

3. Having compartmentalized faith, protecting our image, keeping Jesus separate from our public identity. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light shine before others.” When you move, move for Jesus.

4. Apathy/no urgency, distracted by the temporary, forgetting that people need to hear the good news. Romans 10:14 says, “For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Many people are dying everyday. See the need to share Jesus immediately.

5. ‭Arrogance, our comfort and reputation matter more, we decide who will or won’t listen. Philippians 2:3 says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”

3 Become a digital ambassador. Carry the gospel into digital spaces through six faithful actions.

PRAY - Partner with the Holy Spirit. When you see posts that looks like a cry for help, actively pray for that person.

CARE - Reach out to the person.

SHARE - Share hope. Share the love of Jesus. Share the truth in God’s word.

ENGAGE - Build relationships. Keep reaching out.

INVITE - Invite them to church or small group.

DISCIPLE - Walk with them and lead them to be like Jesus.

Let every action carry truth, love, wisdom and authenticity. Treat social media as a mission field. Matthew 9:36-38 says, “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”” Your platform is more than a place for self-promotion. Real people are searching for hope, answers, community , and truth.

What can you share?

Start with what God is already doing in your life. Don’t just build a following - point people to Jesus.

- short personal testimonies

- A bible verse and personal reflection

- Honest lessons from difficult seasons

- Answered prayers

- Simple gospel explanations

- Encouraging prayers

- Invitations to church or small groups

- Responses to common spiritual reflections

- Stories of God’s faithfulness

- Live prayer or bible conversations

Whatever it is, do it all for the glory of God. If your cellphone is used and abused, use and abuse it for the Lord. Move from scrolling to sharing.
